Relic Ride!

We finally have snow and several members and non-members alike have expressed interest in trying another antique snowmobile RELIC RIDE and the date has been set. All riders will meet at 9:30 AM on Valentine’s Day, Saturday, February 14th for a 10:00 departure. The ride will start at the trailhead near the Chippewa Sno-Kats groomer barn at the intersection of trail 113 and US HWY 69 in downtown Crystal Falls. There is room for trailers at this location. The ride will travel south to Alpha where we’ll stop to display the machines near the Alpha Brewery. Lunch and beverages can be purchased at the brewery.  The return trip to Crystal Falls will begin at 3:00. Total travel: 20 miles. All are invited to attend, but please understand this is not a club-sanctioned or Michigan DNR event.  We’re just a group of enthusiasts who want an excuse to ride our machines!

All Michigan registration and licensing rules apply!

Owners of historic snowmobiles may elect to register their snowmobile as a historic snowmobile if all eligibility requirements are met. The registration has a one-time cost of $50.00 and is non-expiring.  Snowmobiles registered as historic snowmobiles are not required to have a snowmobile trail permit. Eligible snowmobiles: 26 years old or older and owned solely as a collector’s item. Limitations of use: Historic snowmobiles are limited to occasional use and for participation in club activities, exhibitions, tours, parades, and similar uses, including mechanical testing.
